android file transfer not working
MacDroid is a new utility for transferring files between Mac and Android devices
MacDroid 1.0 is a new utility for Mac for transferring files to and from Android devices. Google offers the free “android file transfer mode” application (for Mac with macOS 10.7 or later), which can be used for simple file transfer after connecting the device to the Mac using a USB cable.
MacDroid is more modern software than the one offered by Google; allows you to mount internal and external memories of Android devices, and also to edit Android files on the Mac without having to move them to the computer first. No plugins or extensions are needed and all Android devices and the Multimedia Transfer Protocol (MTP), a protocol that connects two electronic devices, usually a computer and a portable device, are supported.
The utility in question offers two connection modes: MTP and ADB. The ADB mode (Android Debug Bridge) is the one recommended for app developers and is the one that, according to the MacDroid developers, offers stability and speed in data transfer. The MTP connection is simpler but at the same time versatile; the latter also allows you to connect devices with systems other than Android OS (e.g. MP3 players, cameras or camcorders) as long as they support the protocol in question.

MacDroid is distributed in two versions: free and PRO. Both versions can be downloaded directly from the developer's website. The free version of MacDroid allows you to transfer files from Android devices to Mac.
The Pro version (which you can try for free for 7 days), allows you to transfer files from Android devices to the Mac and vice versa, but also to edit files directly on the device memory (without having to copy the documents to the computer first). MacDroid PRO is sold with an annual subscription and costs US $ 19.90.
